A Center For Mercy > The Vision

The Vision

All Christian ministries are structured around three principles: vision, passion, action.  Vision is what we see.  Passion is the inner driving force which motivates us.  Action is the method of accomplishing the vision.

Vision:  What do we see?  We see that perhaps the greatest need of humanity is to be embraced by, rather plunged in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Humanity cries out to be purified of fear, vengeance, anger, aggression, etc.  The only way to heal humanity in this century is by plunging in the Merciful Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Thus, our vision is to help humanity touch and be transformed by the Sacred Heart of Jesus in us.

Passion:  What impels us?  The driving force in the life of Jesus was Mercy.  Thus, we desire to let Mercy flow in and through us, to drive us and inspire us to accomplish the Vision.  Passion keeps us from denying our part in accomplishing the Vision.  Christ’s Heart of Mercy in us impels us to help fulfill the Vision.  (2 Cor 5:14)

Acts 26:19-20 “And so, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.  On the contrary, first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem and throughout the whole country of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached the need to repent and turn to God, and to do works giving evidence of repentance.”

Action:  What do we do?  As Catholics, we are only helpers in accomplishing the Vision of Mercy Evangelization.  Our action is through personal contact, taking the Sacred Heart of Jesus to those seeking solutions to the heart’s questions.

In our case vision, passion, and action are all revealed in the Mercy Icon.  This is Mercy Evangelization.

The John Paul II Training Center for the New Evangelization (the Center) in Gainesville is structured to accomplish the Vision by four means.

1. The Mission Center: Fidesco plays a major role in contacting and meeting the needs of the population living near the Center.

2. The Mercy Training Center: Made up of full-time trainees doing personal contact Mercy Evangelization for a period of 9 months.

3. The Mission Parish: Linked to St. Michael’s Parish, it has the objective of meeting the Sacramental needs of those coming to the Center.

4. The Emmanuel Community:  In the Gainesville area, and internationally, the Emmanuel Community contributes wisdom and personnel in all areas of the Center.
